My practice is oriented in psychodynamic and humanistic principles. In session, we will explore the ways that your past and present experiences shape who you are as a person, whether that be family dynamics, trauma, your work, or relationships. My style is conversational and relational; I value authenticity and real connection. I also believe in the power of positive thinking and humor, and value those who want to laugh and feel good about themselves while also working through the tough stuff.

Much of my clinical experience has been in higher levels of care, including psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment settings, and outpatient facilities. I have supported clients working through severe depression, anxiety, OCD, substance use, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, trauma, and major life transitions. I have also worked in school settings with children and adolescents, from first grade through high school, and I absolutely love working with kids.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 20 years in the music and entertainment industry. My work continues to be shaped by creativity, music, humor, joy, and self-expression. I am a Massachusetts native and a recent transplant to the Bay Area. Outside of my work, I am a musician, hobby collector, husband, and a father of three.
